| Description | Regional Health Centre (RHC) provides for the mental health needs of all inmates in the Pacific Region, and from other regions of Correctional Service of Canada upon referral. In addition, RHC responds on a case-by-case basis to the specialized treatment needs of forensic psychiatric patients in the province of British Columbia and other provinces (Lieutenant Governor Warrant) and NCR-MD (Not Criminally Responsible - Mentally Disordered) as required/requested. RHC functions as a Psychiatric Hospital under the British Columbia Hospital Act and is regulated by the British Columbia Mental Health Act. It has accreditation status with the Canadian Council on Health Facilities Accreditation. | |||
