Description The Mental Health Center provides one on one counseling for adults age 19 and over. There are trained psychiatrists, nurse clinicians, and social workers on staff. There is no fee for these services. The goal of the program is to help people live as independently as possible in the community. They offer a community residential program that caters to people who are unable to live independently but do not require hospitalization. A Psychogeriatrics program provides specialized services for people 65 years and up, or those under 65 who experience dementia, psychiatric problems or declining behavioral or functional ability. Clients may live at home, in supported housing, in continuing care facilities, or they may require admission to or discharge from Riverview Hospital.
